These TVs use the Monitor as the glasses to give the illusion of 3D without the need for glasses. Pretty cool technology if you ask me!

@LGBlogUK The 3D is PERFECT compared to my old vt20 and d8000. Like the iPhone app, but typing words sometimes doesn’t appear on screen. Good if DTS was working too…
@K1LLAY No word on a firmware update for Smart TV yet. It’s still very new, but there may be one upcoming in the future. Fingers crossed. How are you liking the LW550?
Any chance of a firmware update with PIP support, 3D 3dtvon to work in the web browser and a better youtube like BBC’s iPlayer?

when I was at Gamestop/Best Buy looking at the Nintendo 3DS, I can say if that same technology is used for TV’s it would be so worth getting

4D tv = 3D TV + PC or console.. 4D video will be XYZRGB data so can move around inside the movie in 3D..

4D movies clearly wouldn’t be filmed with a $150 RGB/depth camera.. but you can see the idea.
4D may of been a joke.. but now it’s real.
It is mostly the tricky images which gives you the illusion of 3D. That is why it look 3D even in youtube.
@quazarfire Sure buddy don’t know were your getting your information from but it really is 40%+ failure rate. and I dont care if on average xbox head play more then ps3 gamers. The reason I dont care is cause I had my playstation on for two year without ever turning it of or leaving it on standby if I wasn’t play games, surfing the net, chatting with 6 friends at a time or watching movies my ps3 was folding@home. and the third year my ps3 was on 20/24 hours a day.
